I think it is a fascinating phenomenon. I completely disagree that there is something to say about the matter. Burying our heads in the sand on the disturbing issue will not make them disappear. There is also much that can be done from here to influence others in foreign lands and cultures. Some of us seem to have forgotten the concept of global village even as it becomes more real every day! Japan has one of the fastest growing economies in the world and we in the West still have a massive impact on the global economy, so we can certainly influence Japan financially, if we wanted. Also for the information of anyone who would make comments like: "the Japanese have always been very 'quirky' on their Eros", know that you're stepping on thin ice, such a statement discounts on bigotry and certainly smacks of racism. I also find it sad that the author is attacked which plays an active role in this problem simply by asking his questions – such ignorant stereotypes. It is precisely this kind of reaction that makes politicians avoid controversial issues to be resolved. What interests me the concept of the 'weakened' Japanese men. I am aware that the western men have completely lost the position of character brought him in relation to women, and I'm still more aware of the problems this causes for both sexes, that men are stable and are more afraid of such false accusations of rape and statutory rape, while women are increasingly (apparently) to find their men feel emasculated and insecure because she is earning more than he is or because he, in trying to become a 'new' man, has agreed to become a stay-at-home dad while she goes out and earn money. It seems to me that women have errors sexual equality with promiscuity, they flaunt themselves and prey on men in search of their own sexual gratification without thought for the consequences. This pedophile-type fantasy seems to be a factor in these impacts; in the west we now have a massive sexualized society (and a drug culture that's all 'drink alcohol, as well) that affects our pre-teen females increasingly sexual in a earlier age. Moreover consequence free attitude of our women to non-marital sex (as opposed to PRE-marital sex – Because marriage as a concept is dead most) can not do anything, but maintains and enhances the trend. Therefore, men are increasingly surrounded by jail bait Lolita's, who have been taught that they can strut around wearing what they want with impunity from attack, misuse or tampering, unless she allows. This kind of power is intoxicating and, of course, destroy, particularly so that a 14 years old. Britney Spears and co sell discs mainly for the 12-15 year old female market, while wearing a bikini with albino snakes draped across of their tempting shapes and then speculates that clothing manufacturers bring out crop tops and mini skirts for little tots. If you can look at the pop music charts with a fresh eye, you will note that it is more about sex than music now. Jo-Jo is an example, think – find websites counting down the days until they can legally show fake nude pictures of her. 'Pop Tarts' and young actresses 'secret' sex tape flood the network. Lindsey Lohan is running amok in Hollywood with her breasts hanging out (literally) of her blouse – only yesterday she was a little girl in The Parent Trap! It is absolutely not surprising that somewhere in the world there are men who seek to satisfy cravings these ignorant girls generate. This is not pedophilia, it is natural – because the females, while under the legal age for sex, are actually mature. When female is menstruating, she has hips of a woman and the breasts of a woman and above all, she has the head of a woman. Young people are the ultimate attraction for a man in the jungle would women in such illegal age prime breeding stock, although many would probably be too inexperienced to be good mothers. In the jungle, however, that does not matter if the child die regardless female will quickly become impregnated again and will be more ready for the offspring she will wear it next time. So I would not be too quick, women, to vent your disgust at men who find their eyes and minds drawn to Jo-Jos in our society. I would suggest you look to yourselves and admit for once that ills of human society as much a product of women when they are men.
