what to do about these fake magazine billing statements?

I received a billing statement for a subscription to a magazine, I have no idea. It up to $ 88.60, I know it is a kind of billing scam, but what can I do to solve this kind of stuff to keep it from happening again? What should I do about this false billing statement I have now?

Toss it in the bin … Calling them will only give them a chance to say that you wanted the item … (Magazine, whatever) … and to keep billing you … NEVER validate receive this kind of thing … throw it away .. shred it, whatever … if you did not order it … You are under no obligation to pay it … if you start acutally receive items they are billing you for writing on the bill that you will consider all future mailings a "gift" and will not pay for them. There really should be some writing (however small) place on the bill, which states it is for "promotional purposes" and is not a real bill …. You can also always alert your states Attorney General's office … they love it here!
