Today a very nice and enthusiastic girl knocked on my door letting me know that she was going door to door for a communications project. Since I live in a college community I trusted her and let her into my apartment. Once in here, she shared her experience of going from door to door. She then dropped the bomb! She told me she was in a competition where she was trying to earn enough points for magazine subscriptions to win $ 5,000 to open a childcare center for children with special needs and a trip to Italy. I glanced through the laminated sheet adds but I let her know that I was not interested. She was really nice and asked my name, address and phone number so she can prove "she was not goofing off all day." Should I be concerned because I gave her my info?? I did not give her any money and she did not ask anyone. I'm just really worried now.

well, you probably should not gave her your address or phone number. But there is no real way she can cheat you without your credit card number or bank information, etc.. You probably should not do this yourself. Ever.
