Anybody who has ever participated in online rewards? Or is this just a scam?

I am a MyPoints user and extremelly satisfied. I get my rewards and use them as promised. I also use rewards on credit cards and can not say I've ever been treated not as promised. Now, I'm in the market for some subscriptions as Netflix and stuff … I noticed that some websites promise you BIG rewards (we talk like laptops, HDTV, Playstation3, etc), if you subscribe to certain magazines, services etc through them. Are they legitimate? If I follow all their instructions, and 50 million rules, I have a laptop? or any tried and never got your reward? (I'm talking about these guys: http://yoursmartrewards.com http://www.onlinerewardcenter.com) I figured that since I plan to join such of those benefits may so well be rewarded for it … but do not want to reward something if it is a scam.

Looking over the first site you provided, stuff see this * very * scary. The bottom line seems to be that they only have flimsiest obligation to give you your 'gift', and they will definitely make you jump through all kinds of unnamed steel hoops to get it. You * will * be required to make more cash purchases under way, and they do not tell you how much how many, or total expenses you have to do. Actually there is nothing to suggest that the money you will be spending to get through their "offer" will be less than the price your 'gift'. I would be surprised, honestly, if that does not cost much more than going out and buying things on street. All the commitments are yours, and they undertake to do something. The money they make off you will probably finance the entire operation, even before they get their kickback from the 'invitation'. And even if you * have * to save a buck or two – betcha you will not – You'll have to deal with the fact that your e-mail, your address and everything you have been forced to tell them about your shopping habits have been sold to every spam list in the universe – and you have signed up to give them permission to do so! sees me as if it begins gently, and does not cost much.
