I am launching a magazine and need advice on pricing for the sellers?
My target audience is young, young adults (9-17 years) boys and girls. I am not selling advertising at this point in mag, it is bought either by subscription or in a store. The proposed price of the magazine is $ 4.99. But I will take it to suppliers (online vendors as well as those who sell through shops). I would like to know is there a rule of thumb for costs Charger I suppliers? Should I give a "discount" depending on how many magazines they choose to buy? Or, I just give a lump sum of $ 2.50 per mag, on the purcase one for resale, or whether they buy in 1000? Recommendations?
Find a similar type of magazine and see what they charge. Remember that rates are based how much exposure your Advertize get (how many copies a month would you sell?). Many new magazines give away lots of copies to increase exposure – Like the weekly entertainment papers – they are free to readers (increases readers). so they can tell advertisers that they reach xx, 000's of readers every weeks.
