Why so many people focus on negative music?
I like positive music with upbeat tempo and happy lyrics … Funny thing is that a person listening to Three Days Grace, Silverstein, Papa Roach and all these bands complain about how bad their lives are not usually require my taste of music shallow and materialistic. I think its pretty funny actually, its just music, but does not define me as a person. Do not make me wrong I am listening to depressive music at times too when I feel my bad, but I do not listen to it all the time. The only songs that I find depressing are those that make you think … thinking about life, about to die of self-esteem, love, everything like that. Sure, we all like "Shiny Happy People" or "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da" a occasionally, but the most sad, depressing music often tends to be the best. I dislike songs with screaming or 'negative energy', necessarily I can not stand punk, but bands like King Crimson and Jethro Tull often make me think about things, unlike most generally "happy" music.
