How can I get people to vote for me?
The editors of Bicycling Magazine chose my video to be in the top ten videos of the 2010 Win any Bike Contest!
I MUST win this contest. there is no way around it. As an aspiring graphic designer and part-time Lady Liberty dancer for Liberty Taxes, my meager salary is not enough to pay for the bike of my dreams (or ANY road bike for that matter). Winning this contest is the only way I will ever be able to live my dream of entering my first triathlon. So my question is:
HOW DO I GET PEOPLE TO VOTE FOR ME?
I've already contacted all of my friends via email and asked them and their mothers and their mother's mother to vote for me. I am creating a fan page on facebook and on myspace to raise awareness of my cause. I am also going to put up fliers in bike shops and gyms. Is there anything else I can do?
One of the drawbacks is that you have to create an account to vote, but it's free and it only takes 5 seconds, and bicycling magazine isn't' going to harass you or pimp your email address to other companies. how do I convince people that voting for me will be worth their time? in what way are they "rewarded"?
