True Blood and Twilight? I'm really confused.?

Okay. So I was reading my Entertainment Weekly yesterday and theres this article on True Blood. I read it, but as soon as I started I kept thinking that everything that was said on True Blood was just as true as it is in Twilight. I read the series, because I have to admit that I was picking at it much as I can not do so much now. BUT! I think theres vampires, a vampire and human love story, vampire is trying to keep the human alive, telepathy, etc. What is not a copywriting question here ?????

Most vampire thing is pretty old mythology. so neither the author made it up. but Sookie Stackhouse series (True Blood) was written first, and I think its better.
